Close to the National Trust site of Gibside, in the village of Burnopfield, our stone-built practice feels a world away from what most people picture when they think of the dentist. Light, natural tones, greenery and gentle scents replace the usual clinical feel — more calm retreat than waiting room.
We’ve designed every part of Gibside Dental to help you slow down, breathe, and feel looked after. There’s fresh coffee when you arrive, a dedicated patient care coordinator to guide you through your visit, and a private meeting room if you’d like to talk through your treatment options in comfort.

We use the latest technology not for show, but to give you a clearer picture of your health. Our advanced CBCT imaging and digital scanners allow us to see every angle, every detail — so we can make informed, precise decisions that support long-term outcomes, not quick fixes.
Throughout the practice, you’ll find treatment-room TVs, comfortable surroundings, and a prevention-led approach that focuses on your whole wellbeing — from comprehensive assessments to advanced treatment modalities when needed.
We welcome patients of all ages and needs — from children’s check-ups to advanced implant care. For those who feel nervous, we’re one of the few practices in the region to offer IV sedation. It’s delivered safely and calmly, helping you stay relaxed throughout your visit.
We offer evening appointments, Monday to Friday from 8 am until 8 pm, so you can fit your dental care comfortably around work or family life. There’s on-site parking too, to make every visit easy from start to finish. The practice has step-free access, as well as a disabled car parking space.
