What is root canal treatment?

Inside every tooth lies a soft centre called the pulp. When bacteria reach this space—through decay, cracks or trauma—it can become inflamed or infected. Root canal treatment carefully cleans and seals this area, saving the tooth from extraction and restoring its strength.
